Join Our Team for an Interdisciplinary Creative Experience
The Galleries are excited to offer a unique opportunity for Pitzer College students to become integral members of our team as Gallery Fellows. This program is designed for students who are eager to engage in creative projects and broaden community participation in the Art Galleries' programming at Pitzer.
Appointment Term:
Initial appointment is for the 2025-26 academic year, with the possibility of renewal for 2026-27.

Who Should Apply?
Eligibility:
- Open to all majors
- Aimed at students in their second or third year for the 2025-26 academic year
Characteristics of an Ideal Candidate:
- A keen interest in contemporary art and exhibition-making
- A collaborative spirit, eager to work within a team to build common goals
- An ambition to engage in peer-to-peer learning and to work across diverse student groups
- Strong self-awareness, reflective skills, and openness to diverse perspectives
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborative Initiatives: Work as part of an interdisciplinary collective based in Atherton 108 to design and execute creative initiatives
- Meetings and Planning: Attend bi-weekly meetings with Gallery staff and meet independently with Fellow members to spearhead innovative projects
- Professional Experience: Gain hands-on experience in a mentorship model directly under the guidance of the Galleries staff
- Event Management: Help plan and staff gallery events and tours, and develop co-curricular events that enhance community engagement
- Communication: Promote gallery events and initiatives through social media, printed media, and direct outreach
Participation and Deliverables
- Develop and implement at least one to two Fellows-driven initiatives per semester
- Support the execution of exhibitions and programming
- Foster interdisciplinary dialogues and community engagement across campus

- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Responsible time management with accountability for project timelines
